Full Job Description
Your role at Clorox:

This is a senior leader who reports into the Director of Manufacturing and will engage with the Sales Team, IBP Team, SC Center Procurement, and Plant Production, Logistics, & Quality Leaders. This role oversees a team of network material planners and buyers/schedulers and collaborates with other BU Material Mgmt., Purchasing, and Scheduling Leaders to oversee these activities across all plants in the BU and establish a strong community of practice for development of standard ways of working. This leader should be able to work with other BU MSM leaders and the MSM COE team in establishing best practices for the entire organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and drive the network inventory strategy that minimizes working capital and changeover costs while meeting customer service targets.
  • Establish and implement MSM best practices and audit for adherence.
    • Assess current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Drive adoption of best practices for materials management, scheduling management, and data management activities.
  • Direct production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage operations.
  • Direct production planning and scheduling activities based on sales forecasts and business demand.
  • Coordinate with Plant Logistics & Material Management Leaders, Quality Leaders, and Production Leaders to:
    • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
    • Optimize storage space utilization.
    • Resolve quality-related issues.
    • Communicate and align production schedules.
  • Collaborate with IBP, Sales, and Procurement teams to align production plans with overall business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Oversee plant-level tactical purchasing of materials to support production and inventory requirements.
  • Lead metrics reporting, performance monitoring, and achievement of operational targets.
  • Manage SOP documentation and ensure adherence to standardized processes and procedures.
  • Manage PPDS and ERP planning tools and supporting data.
    • Provide guidance on rate setting.
    • Establish and maintain production sequencing logic.
  • Partner closely with project management teams and plant sites on inventory-impacting projects.
    • Manage material run-out and transition plans.
    • Oversee Raw Materials, Work-in-Process (WIP), and Packaging NODDs.
  • Work closely with manufacturing site teams and central MSM teams, as well as leaders across Logistics, Quality, IBP, Procurement, Sales, Production, Project Management, and Finance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of inventory, production, material availability, and overall business objectives across the network.
  • Influence plant operations and the broader supply chain through development of inventory strategies, planning processes, and materials management best practices.
  • Drive operational performance through collaboration with leadership teams across manufacturing, logistics, quality, procurement, and finance.
  • Make decisions that directly impact inventory investment, customer service levels, production efficiency, and overall business performance.

-Zone A: $131,200 - $258,500

-Zone B: $120,300 - $237,000

-Zone C: $109,400 - $215,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
