Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MS Fabric Architect with 12+ years of overall experience and 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Lakehouse architecture. This role will provide technical leadership across data ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, governance, security, and consumption layers while driving data platform modernization and migration initiatives. The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to define data strategies and roadmaps and will provide guidance on data modeling, performance optimization, cloud-native architecture, governance, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable data engineering and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Lead end-to-end data platform architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and consumption layers.
• Define and implement Medallion Architecture using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers for enterprise data platforms.
• Develop and establish data integration frameworks using Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, Spark, and real-time analytics capabilities.
• Architect secure, high-performance, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, and other technical teams to define enterprise data strategies and technology roadmaps.
• Establish data governance, security, lineage, monitoring, and data management standards using Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
• Lead data platform migration and modernization initiatives from legacy data platforms to Microsoft Fabric.
• Evaluate existing data architectures and recommend modernization approaches, technology improvements, and optimization opportunities.
• Define data modeling standards and guide teams on scalable and maintainable data architecture practices.
• Provide technical guidance on performance tuning, workload optimization, and cloud-native data engineering practices.
• Provide technical leadership throughout solution design, estimation, implementation, delivery, and governance activities.
• Mentor technical teams on Microsoft Fabric architecture, data engineering best practices, data modeling, performance optimization, and cloud-native solutions.
• Participate in client and stakeholder engagements and communicate architecture decisions, technical recommendations, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure data platform solutions follow enterprise security, governance, architecture, and compliance standards.
• Support technical design reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.

Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of overall experience in data engineering, data architecture, software engineering, or related technology disciplines.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric architecture and platform capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric OneLake and Lakehouse architecture.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end enterprise data platform architecture, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
• Experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture using Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Experience developing data integration solutions using Fabric Data Pipelines and Spark.
• Experience with real-time analytics capabilities within Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data modeling and data architecture principles.
• Experience designing secure, high-performance, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions.
• Experience establishing data governance, security, data lineage, and monitoring standards.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and its application to enterprise data governance and lineage.
• Experience leading legacy data platform migration and modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization for cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong technical leadership, solution design, estimation, and delivery experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor technical teams and provide architectural guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
