MRI Technologist II - Inpatient / Weekend Option

Full-Time, Benefits Eligible

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 2 x 12-hr shifts 7a-7:30p, work 24 hrs/wk paid for 32 hrs/wk

Hire-On Incentive: Up to $10,000

Summary:
Operates Magnetic Resonance Equipment to produce MR Scans of patients. Supports inpatients and ED patients including trauma; stroke; medical complications and diagnoses; presurgical emergent work up; presurgical cardiac workup and outpatients that require conscious sedation. Supports ICU patients as required working with respiratory care and other professionals.
Ensures that all aspects of patient's records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Performs other assigned duties as training and skills allow.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required:
a. Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology
b. Graduate of approved school of MRI Technology and/or registered by the ARRT for MRI.

2. Experience & Training Required:
a. One (1) year MRI Technologist experience preferred.

3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Post-primary eligibility for individuals that currently hold ARRT certification and registration (NMTCB or ARDMS) with appropriate education and clinical requirements met to obtain MRI registry certification within one year of hire.
b. Ability to appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and other hospital employees.
c. Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients and to apply and adjust restraining devices.
d. Ability to lift and position patients.
e. Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures (e.g. select X-ray procedures, etc.)
f. Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed.
g. Ability to initiate CPR (CPR Certification)
h. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.
i. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects

$38.68/hr - $46.42/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
