Learn to perform diagnostic MRI of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies in provided classroom and clinical settings. Training includes MRI Anatomy, Protocols and Procedures, MRI Physics, MRI Safety and IV Certification. Clinical experiences offer interactions with a variety of patient populations including Inpatient, Outpatient, Critical Care, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Oncology. Obtain didactic and clinical requirements to prepare for advanced certification in the field of MRI. Upon graduation, a two-year work requirement at any Johns Hopkins location is required.

This program takes advantage of the wide range of imaging resources available at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Outpatient Center, and Johns Hopkins Imaging sites. These clinical facilities provide training on state-of-the-art equipment and clinical experiences that may not be found at other institutions.

Minimum Qualifications:- Completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- ARRT link: ARRT MRI Post Primary Eligibility
- ARRT certified with current registration
- CPR certification within three months of employment
- No experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Have a strong desire and willingness to learn with ability to apply learned skills in the clinical environment
- Ability to demonstrate and apply self-initiative and direction
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, technologists, instructors, and other personnel
- Effective interpersonal skills for instructing and orienting patients, physicians, and medical staff.
- High level of analytical skills with attention to detail is required to perform appropriate scan based on the patient's history and protocol
Program Start: February, 2027
Shift:Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shift, 6:30am-3:00pm (primary)
Evening shifts required up to 4 weeks during the 6-month program

Salary Range: Minimum 34.62/hour - Maximum 57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
