Coordinates schedules. Participates in selection and evaluation of new employees.*
Maintains appropriate supply levels in the work area.*
Ensures protocols are current and available to staff. *
Participates in evaluation and selection of equipment. In conjunction with staff members, assures that equipment is functioning properly.*
Participates in development and implementation of Performance goals.*
Performs MRI procedures following defined protocols.*
Understands and operates relevant electronic information systems.*
Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of technical information and to meet the continuing education requirements of regulatory agencies.*
Observant of patients' conditions.*
Administers contrast media as required. If a RN is not available, certified technologists may have access to the emergency medications at the direction of the attending physician.*
Practices safety in the vicinity of the magnetic field of the MR unit.*
Communicates positively and effectively with all patients, physicians, managers, peers and other customers.
What qualifications you will need:EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three years experience as MRI technologist.
BLS
Preferred:
Previous supervisory experience
EDUCATION
Required:
Registered by ARRT in Radiography.
Advanced certification in MRI (RT (R) (MRI))

Full time, day shift (weekdays only)
