Position Summary

The Moving, Packing and Cleaning Manager owns the full performance of the contents division - moving, packing, and textile/content cleaning - across all crews and Project Managers in the market. This role moves beyond running a single crew to owning staffing, scheduling, quality, equipment, and vendor relationships for the entire division, while coaching Project Managers and technicians to perform at a consistent standard across every job.

Key Responsibilities

Division Oversight
• Own day-to-day performance of all moving, packing, and content cleaning operations across the market, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards on every job.
• Directly manage and develop the Project Managers and crew leads responsible for inventory, packout, cleaning, vaulting, wrapping, staging, and packback of contents.
• Build and manage crew scheduling and staffing assignments across all active jobs, balancing crew availability, job volume, and customer timelines.
• Monitor job cycle time, quality, and customer satisfaction across the division; identify and resolve bottlenecks on aging or at-risk jobs.
• Set and enforce operations procedures and protocols across all crews, in the warehouse, and while traveling to or from work or job locations.
• Step in personally on escalated or complex jobs - client communication, adjuster coordination, subcontractor coordination, and project-related staffing decisions.

Quality, Equipment & Warehouse
• Own warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance standards across the division.
• Manage inventory levels and supply ordering for packing and cleaning materials; approve inventory requests.
• Oversee fleet usage for the division, including box trucks and forklifts, and ensure proper vehicle and equipment care.
• Audit use of job-tracking systems (iCat, Proven Jobs Desktop/Mobile) across crews for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure contents are packaged and transported in a way that consistently prevents damage, and address recurring issues at the root cause.

Leadership & Growth
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new Project Managers and technicians for the division.
• Set performance standards and conduct regular reviews for Project Managers and crew leads; hold the team accountable to production, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Build career progression paths for technicians into Project Manager and lead roles.
• Support the team in obtaining online company reviews from customers.
• Partner with sales, mitigation, and reconstruction leadership to align contents capacity with the pipeline and customer commitments.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across every crew and job site.
