THE ROLE

M&C Saatchi World Services is seeking a talented Motion Graphics Designer to create compelling animated content, multimedia storytelling assets, and motion-driven experiences that support high-profile communications, outreach, and engagement initiatives. Working at the intersection of design, storytelling, and digital engagement, you will transform complex information into visually engaging content that informs, inspires, and motivates diverse audiences. Collaborating closely with creative, communications, account, UX, and strategy teams, you will develop dynamic motion graphics and multimedia products that strengthen audience engagement across digital, social, presentation, video, and campaign channels.

The ideal candidate combines strong creative instincts with technical expertise in animation and motion design. They are comfortable taking projects from concept through execution, collaborating across disciplines, and balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires a strong eye for visual storytelling, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to create content that is both strategically grounded and creatively compelling.

This is a hybrid role; however, the ideal candidate will live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality motion graphics, animations, kinetic typography, visual explainers, and multimedia content for digital, social, video, and presentation platforms.
  • Translate strategic objectives, audience insights, and complex subject matter into engaging visual narratives and motion-based storytelling experiences.
  • Support concept development, storyboarding, animation planning, and creative ideation for communications campaigns and multimedia initiatives.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, strategists, UX specialists, and communications teams to develop integrated creative solutions.
  • Create and maintain motion graphics templates, animation libraries, visual assets, and reusable creative resources.
  • Support video production efforts through animation, compositing, visual effects, title sequences, transitions, and motion enhancements.
  • Ensure all creative outputs align with brand standards, accessibility requirements, and enterprise quality expectations.
  • Participate in creative reviews and feedback sessions, refining work based on stakeholder and team input. • Contribute to the development of social media content, digital campaigns, presentations, and multimedia communications products.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of creativity, accuracy, and execution.
  • Stay current on emerging motion graphics trends, animation techniques, AI-enabled creative tools, and evolving multimedia technologies.
  • Collaborate effectively across geographically distributed and multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Support the continuous evolution of creative processes, workflows, and motion design best practices.

Eligibility Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship: Must be a United States Citizen (required by government contract).
• Clearance Eligibility: Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance immediately upon employment.
• Background Screening: Must be willing to submit to a rigorous federal background investigation, which includes an in-depth review of personal finances, criminal history, employment history, and drug use.

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated compensation for this role across our Washington, DC and New York locations. Actual starting salary will be determined based on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors.

Key Attributes:
  • Experience creating motion graphics, animation, multimedia content, or digital storytelling products within a professional creative environment.
  • Degree or relevant experience in Motion Design, Animation, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, as required by the position.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in animation, motion design, visual storytelling, and multimedia production.
