Description

Role: The Mortgage Servicing Manager leads daily residential mortgage servicing operations, ensuring accurate borrower transactions, responsive service, regulatory compliance, and adherence to investor and company requirements. The role manages staff, resolves escalated issues, and improves processes across escrow, loan maintenance, payoffs, and investor reporting.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead daily servicing operations and assign work to meet accuracy, timeliness, productivity, and service goals.
  • Maintain a high-level of member service by ensuring questions are answered and requests are processed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee escrow administration, tax and insurance disbursements, loan maintenance, payoffs, releases, and lien satisfaction.
  • Manage rate locks and coordinate accurate, timely loan delivery to investors in accordance with pricing, commitment, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, investor requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain procedures and training and implement regulatory, investor, product, and system changes.
  • Resolve escalated borrower inquiries, disputes, complaints, and servicing exceptions.
  • Manage investor reporting, remitting, reconciliations, custodial accounts, and related exceptions.
  • Supervise employees in the Mortgage Servicing Department in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws and regulations
  • Recruit, coach, and develop staff while maintaining appropriate staffing and cross-training.
  • Partner with internal teams and lead process and system improvements that strengthen efficiency and the borrower experience.

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of residential mortgage servicing experience, including two years in a leadership role.

Demonstrated Knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of Fiserv DNA and Encompass a plus.
• Strong understanding of Fannie Mae's guidelines, eligibility requirements, and processes for loan servicing, delivery and sale.
• Simple arithmetic and finance related mathematics (e.g., interest, time value of money, compounding)
• Knowledge of Secondary Market guidelines, CFPB regulations and all other mortgage related laws and regulations

Communication Skills

Ability to proactively respond to members/associates to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal associates and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

The starting salary range for this position is: $85,000 - $105,000 yearly. This range reflects the base starting salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement
