About the role

As a Maintenance Supervisor - Mobile Equipment Maintenance, you will be a key front-line leader responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of mobile maintenance activities. You'll guide a skilled team, allocate resources effectively, and maintain strong workflow discipline to keep equipment running reliably. Essential Duties
  • Lead the mobile maintenance team by establishing clear priorities, delegating tasks, and offering daily coaching and technical guidance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out regular workplace, field, and workshop inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
  • Review, coordinate, and implement the maintenance schedule, including planned work, corrective tasks, and backlog management.
  • Optimise labour, contractor use, tooling, and parts availability to maximise wrench time and overall maintenance efficiency.
  • Carry out quality control inspections during the shift to verify workmanship and ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Review SAP work orders for accuracy, clarity, and completeness before and after execution.
  • Provide detailed and accurate shift handovers, including major component changes, outstanding issues, and key operational updates.
  • Work closely with Leadership and Operations team to align on technical priorities, equipment strategies, and troubleshooting needs.
  • Assist operations by resolving equipment issues promptly and escalating problems when needed.
  • Maintain a strong field presence by being visible and available to the maintenance team throughout the shift.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, safety, workflow optimization, and team engagement.


Training & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or DEC in Mechanical Engineering, or a Technician diploma with significant hands-on experience.
  • FMTM Certification.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years in a supervisor position in mobile equipment maintenance.
  • Surface and underground mobile equipment Maintenance and asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAP or other CMMS platforms (considered an asset).
  • Experience with Fleet Management Systems and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a benefit.

  • Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off
