Full Job Description
What You'll Do - You'll Make the Moment

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features for the Cracker Barrel mobile application.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure that the user interface and experience align with Cracker Barrel's brand identity and standards.
  • Develop and maintain the overall architecture of mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and high-performing.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate with external APIs/data sources to provide dynamic functionality within the app.
  • Provide technical guidance to development teams, mentoring and supporting engineers in best practices for mobile development.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Assess and recommend mobile frameworks, tools, and platforms for cross-platform development (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and implement strategies for optimization, focusing on both frontend and backend components.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Continuously monitor app performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Mobile Architect experience
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of modern Android and iOS architectural patterns.
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Proficiency in mobile programming languages (Swift, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (React Native, Flutter, Xamarin).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration.
  • Familiarity with mobile security best practices.
