Manager, MMIC Design Engineering
Key responsibilities:
- Hands-on leader responsible for managing GaAsand GaN amplifier designs
- Lead the Lowell amplifier design team (7engineers)
- Set timelines, budgets, and resourcesallocation to ensure timely execution of milestones
- Manage product development from kickoffthrough product evaluation
- Maintain projects in AGILE
- Mentor and provide technical leadership toteam members and peers
- Review MMIC designs and recommend designchanges as necessary
- Drive projects forward through the design andevaluation phases of product development to reduce time-to-market
- Interface and collaborate withcross-functional teams (e.g. Product Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Sales andOperations) to ensure manufacturable designs, quality requirements, andtimeline goals are met for each product
- Work with product engineering to transitionprojects from product development phase to product introduction phase
- Support sales and marketing teams withfeasibility studies and cost estimates to support proposals for new businessdevelopment
- Perform design work for the first 6 months tobetter learn new product development procedures and documentation requirements
Key qualifications:
- BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years of experience inMMIC amplifier design of RF and microwave MMICs
- Previous engineering management experience ispreferred
- Knowledge of power amplifier designtechniques
- Working knowledge of ADS
- Good understanding of RF test and measurementtechniques
- Experience with AGILE is a plus
- Must be detail oriented and able to handlemultiple projects in parallel
- Must have excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills

The Salary Range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000.Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, includingbut not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education,and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is eligibleto receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely atMACOM's discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
