Responsibilities

Seeking a Mission Systems Operator responsible for running and validating advanced software systems that support large-scale, high-performance computing and supercomputing environments.

This Mission Systems Operator will work hands-on with a suite of specialized applications, executing real missions and identifying software deficiencies while coordinating with software developers and government stakeholders to drive improvements. They serve as the operational voice during software development reviews, bringing practical insight into how systems behave during mission execution.

The Mission System Operator frequently collaborates with external partner programs to collect and analyze data, and they participate in onsite technical discussions, typically involving limited travel throughout the year.

  • Operate a suite of software applications serving large-scale, high-performance computing, supercomputing and parallel processing platforms in an R&D setting.
  • Conduct software testing across multiple platforms and provide results to Government representatives for review and adjudication.
  • Provide reporting on software deficiencies and support corrective action development efforts.
  • Participate in software development reviews as a Mission Operator representative.
  • Provide onsite, and offsite when applicable, support during test events and demonstration exercises; requires travel approximately 4 weeks a year.
  • Coordinate with external partner programs for data collection efforts and analysis.
  • Support system requirements development and verification efforts.
  • Support System of System reviews and architecture development efforts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred. Systems Engineering experience with a Business Degree (BS) acceptable.
  • Five years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • Ten years of experience collaborating with government agencies and/or DoD services.
  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $138,000.00/Yr. - USD $165,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
