This position reports to:Service Manager
Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will support the installation, maintenance, and optimization of ABB control systems in mining and heavy industrial environments, ensuring high system performance and strong customer satisfaction.

You will be mainly accountable for- Delivering on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting control systems, and resolving customer issues in a timely and effective manner
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, system testing, and diagnostics on ABB DCS platforms and related equipment
- Supporting projects, upgrades, commissioning, and system installations in collaboration with engineering and service teams
- Preparing clear service documentation (reports, audits, and recommendations) while identifying opportunities for system improvements
You will also play a key role in building strong customer relationships while working closely with plant operators, management teams, third-party vendors, and ABB stakeholders.
Travel across the Western United States, and occasionally North America and internationally, is required.

Qualifications for the Role- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field (or equivalent technical diploma)
- Minimum 5, or more, years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or field service environments
- Hands-on experience with ABB control systems (e.g., 800xA, Symphony, AC500) or similar DCS/PLC platforms strongly preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical, mechanical, and process systems
- Solid IT and networking knowledge (Windows environments, cybersecurity basics, virtualization, and system integration)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and technical teams
- Ability to perform in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments, including high-pressure field conditions
