Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent education required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in potash mining or Saskatchewan underground supervisor certification necessary.
• Preferable experience in Mine Operations, specifically potash.
• Supervisory experience within a unionized environment is advantageous.
• Strong guidance and interpersonal skills; capable of engaging, inspiring, and mentoring team members.
• Proven commitment to safety protocols and practices is essential.
• Basic computer skills required; familiarity with mining software can be beneficial.
• Mine Rescue certification and experience with OH&S and exposure-based safety programs are additional assets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 35 mine shift operators.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with workplace regulations.
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering departments to optimize resource use and meet production targets.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvement strategies as necessary.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to enhance safety culture.
• Lead efforts in maintaining productive and efficient operating practices within the mine operations.
