Job DescriptionAbout the JobWe are looking for a Licensed Millwright at our Walker Compost & Packaging Facility in Arthur, ON.
Our millwrights perform preventive and curative maintenance on a wide variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment at our site in Arthur, ON. This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The wage for this position is $43.86/hour.
What You'll Be Doing- Inspecting machinery and equipment to detect defects and irregularities.
- Using welding equipment and power tools to fabricate parts during maintenance or set-up of machinery.
- Interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to follow work procedures.
- Troubleshooting in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and requirements.
- Repairing or replacing defective components using hand and power tools.
- Designing, welding and manufacturing custom parts when needed.
- Performing PMs.
- Exercising good judgement and discretion in prioritizing maintenance repairs.
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices.
Here's What You Need- Millwright license, completion of an apprenticeship program in industrial machinery repair or millwrighting.
- Experience as a heavy duty equipment mechanic (421A) is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details makes sure work is done correctly and thoroughly. Keeping accurate records.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and environmental regulations and legislation.
- Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required.
We run three shifts: - Days - Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Weekends - Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
