About the Job

We are looking for a Licensed Millwright at our Walker Compost & Packaging Facility in Arthur, ON.

Our millwrights perform preventive and curative maintenance on a wide variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment at our site in Arthur, ON. This position will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The wage for this position is $43.86/hour.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Inspecting machinery and equipment to detect defects and irregularities.
  • Using welding equipment and power tools to fabricate parts during maintenance or set-up of machinery.
  • Interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to follow work procedures.
  • Troubleshooting in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and requirements.
  • Repairing or replacing defective components using hand and power tools.
  • Designing, welding and manufacturing custom parts when needed.
  • Performing PMs.
  • Exercising good judgement and discretion in prioritizing maintenance repairs.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details makes sure work is done correctly and thoroughly. Keeping accurate records.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and environmental regulations and legislation.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and to take discretionary action as required.

We run three shifts:
  • Days - Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Weekends - Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
