Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the "jewel" of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Requirements:

Journey-level status or five years of verifiable experience required. Qualified applicants must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Must have basic computer skills for data logging, work order management and communications. They must also possess the necessary interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.

Candidates must have a Journeyperson's Card or five years of applicable experience as a Millwright or equivalent trade.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A working knowledge of heat treat equipment, furnaces, RX gas generators, gas burners and heat treat transfer equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair chip conveyors, gear boxes and pumps.
  • Performs repairs on conveyors, guarding and performs/install sheet metal work.
  • Proficient in welding, Mig, Tig and Stick, Brazing, Soldering etc.
  • Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair mechanical process piping systems.
  • Maintain air handling equipment i.e. vacuum systems and ventilation systems.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management system, or equivalent program.
  • Interpreting prints of machine layouts for pneumatic and air systems.
  • Operating equipment such as: drills, grinders, brakes and shears to modify or repair fabricated components from steel, aluminum, plastic, and wood.
  • Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.


Preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment, troubleshooting and repair of centralized coolant systems, supporting production of heat treat operations, and fabrication from blueprints using raw stock: welding (i.e. MIG,TIG,STICK, etc.), sheet metal work, woodwork. Other work will be assigned according to the Local USW 2-209 bargaining agreement.
  • Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and follow all escalation processes as defined.
  • Troubleshoot and perform all required maintenance in your assigned area.
  • Perform various tasks including welding repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure machine availability goals are met by participating in and organizing Root Cause Analysis activities to improve equipment up-time.
  • Assists in training employees in production roles to perform simple maintenance tasks as associated with TPM.
  • Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
