Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 + Benefits
Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and mechanically inclined Millwright to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on role responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a variety of manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. A 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License is ideal.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & Repair- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and support timely resolution to minimize production downtime.
- Install, align, level, and commission new machinery and equipment.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
Preventative Maintenance- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance procedures.
- Identify worn or damaged components before failures occur.
- Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Safety & Continuous Improvement- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades, and plant improvement projects.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and maintenance team members to improve operational performance.
Qualifications- Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of millwright experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and rotating equipment systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and work orders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
