Description

We are seeking a motivated Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) Subject Matter Expert to join our team supporting the United States Marine Corps. In this role, you will provide technical expertise on CAC2S and its role within the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF), helping ensure Marine aviation command and control capabilities are effectively integrated, sustained, and improved. Your work directly supports the Marines who rely on these systems to plan, direct, and coordinate aviation operations in the field.

The candidate will:

  • Providing subject matter expertise on CAC2S capabilities, configurations, and employment within the MAGTF
  • Supporting the integration of CAC2S with other MAGTF command and control (C2) systems and programs
  • Advising program stakeholders on CAC2S functionality, limitations, and interoperability considerations
  • Providing technical SME support to MAGTF programs, including participation in working groups, technical exchanges, and program reviews
  • Analyzing integration and interoperability issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Supporting test events, assessments, and demonstrations involving CAC2S and related systems
  • Developing and delivering briefings, white papers, and technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Coordinating with government, military, and contractor teams to resolve technical questions and track action items
  • Staying current on CAC2S system updates, roadmaps, and related MAGTF C2 modernization efforts

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field desired; equivalent professional experience is acceptable
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience with CAC2S or comparable command and control systems
  • Must possess a DoDD 8140 security certification (Security+) OR the ability to obtain certification within six months of employment
  • Working knowledge of CAC2S architecture, capabilities, and operational employment
  • Understanding of MAGTF structure and other MAGTF command and control systems and their interoperability with CAC2S
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, reliability, and conscientiousness in managing tasks and schedules to meet program deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows Operating System
Desired Skills
  • Prior military experience in Marine Corps aviation command and control (e.g., Marine Air Command and Control System (MACCS) community)
  • Familiarity with related DoD C2 and C4ISR systems and their integration with MAGTF programs
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, test events, or fielding activities
  • Experience developing training materials or delivering instruction on C2 systems
  • Familiarity with DoD interoperability standards and tactical data links (e.g., Link 16)
Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

Travel Requirements
  • Domestic travel up to 10% of the year (approximately two weeks) for site visits, security assessments, or briefings at other DoD locations
  • International travel typically less than 5% of the year, only when needed for coordination with overseas partners and subject to clearance approval
  • Primarily on-site at the assigned location
