Description

SAIC is looking for a Operations and Data Specialist to support the development and delivery of a large C2 system in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This position offers candidates seeking to make an impact on the mission through Operational System Investigations for a multi-domain C2 system.
  • Work with operators in the Combatant Commands (CCMD) and Services to identify critical operational information and data relevant to the development and operation of the system.
  • Serve as an operational data expert to the program engineers and external partners in the design and development of a data model for a large C2 system
  • Perform services and analyses for developing traceable and accountable performance metrics and standards based on system requirements and desired outcomes
  • Build information and training packets for the system.
  • Support operator understanding of the system.
  • Assist the Program Director with customer requirements and tasks
  • Support Strategic Planning, and Stakeholder Analysis.
  • Contribute to system development projects and tasks as part of a team executing SAFe
  • Support and facilitate personnel and subcontractor needs for system understanding

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and thirteen (13) years or more experience.

Must have an active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:
  • Formal training from any of the service or joint sponsored Special Operation Schools
  • Direct combat experience
  • Must possess a strong understand of Joint operations
  • Must be familiar with all domain warfare
  • Must understand CCMD plans and operations, roles and responsibilities, data and processes
  • Must understand operational metrics and measures of performance (what is mission success)
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Must possess a strong ability to take initiative and operate independent of instruction
  • Must be able to communicate clearly (orally and written)
  • Must understand how to manage and work with employees in highly technical fields
  • Must retain the ability to learn technical processes associated with software development
  • Must be competent with Microsoft office and experienced with Excel

Desired Skill:
  • Masters or Doctorate from an accredited University
  • Data science field experience or formal training
  • Understanding of Engagement Planning and Sequencing within a weapon systems.
  • Understanding of Navy, Space, and Air Force contributions to Missile Defense
  • Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®)
  • Experience with Kanban
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence or other management software

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
