Full Job Description
SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.

NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical/electronic systems.
  • In some applications, develop circuit card assemblies.
  • Implement electrical wiring design practices.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
  • Perform troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
  • Develop and document technical designs, test plans, and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical insights.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Currently serving as ACTIVE duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency in electrical/electronic circuit design and testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards.
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Exposure to FAA electrical system regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
  • Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.
  • Understanding of an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
  • Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.
  • Understanding Electromagnetic Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.

  • Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.
  • Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.

  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
