Job description

You will be part of the Middleware (“MDW”) group, which is responsible for administering the middleware platform and supporting and integrating applications that use this platform.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Docker GTS platform (UCP and kube) in Paris and America;

  • Provide production support outside of working hours and on weekends, and be able to manage call alerts;

  • Provide on-call support as part of follow-the-sun support for Paris and Asia systems;

  • Provide advice and best practices to the team's customers;

  • Help implement and update team standards (installation, best practices, etc.);

  • Contribute to the API factory for container lifecycle provisioning and automation (including the Docker part);

  • Be process-oriented and able to implement a common set of standards, methods, and procedures used for all container work, as well as recommend upgrade paths for software and hardware.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience with Docker/Openshift/k8s;

  • Scripting skills (shell, Python, etc.);

  • Knowledge of the Unix environment;

  • French and English language skills (written and/or spoken);

  • Customer-oriented, able to work independently while interacting with different teams to complete projects, and must be detail-oriented;

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies;

  • Self-motivated and a team player;

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral;

  • Experience working in a 24/7 environment;

  • Experience working with distributed teams;

  • Experience in operational management;

  • Familiarity with the ITIL process.

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English. The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will be required to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners located outside Quebec.
