Full Job Description
As part of our continued growth, Landau Associates is seeking an Air Quality Consultant to support our valued clients with air permitting, regulatory compliance, emissions analysis, and project management. This position will be based in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office.

What You'll Do
  • Execute air quality permitting and compliance projects for industrial clients, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverable management
  • Prepare air permit applications, emissions inventories, and compliance reports
  • Conduct emissions calculations, regulatory applicability evaluations, and air quality compliance assessments
  • Interpret and apply local, state, and federal air quality regulations, including Clean Air Act requirements
  • Support air dispersion modeling projects and other technical air quality analyses
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical compliance and permitting solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Meteorology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of environmental consulting experience, including air permitting, regulatory compliance, and project management
  • Experience preparing air permit applications and regulatory analyses for industrial facilities
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state air quality regulations, including Clean Air Act programs such as NSR, PSD, Title V, NSPS, and NESHAP
  • Experience calculating emissions and preparing technical reports, compliance documentation, and emissions inventories
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, regulators, and project teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including managing scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communications
  • Experience with air dispersion modeling tools such as AERMOD or AERSCREEN is preferred but not required
