What Impact You'll HaveNorthstrat, a GRVTY company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our Agile development team. The Test Engineer will play a critical role in software and system testing, with a strong emphasis on balancing manual execution and automated scripting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration and operation of complex systems in a fast-paced Agile environment.
What You'll be Owning- Execute unit/component test procedures for all project components, create and execute integration test procedures, execute regression tests, coordinate and execute user acceptance testing and create and execute performance tests.
- Conduct component integration testing, which should include such items as performance and throughput benchmarking, fault tolerance, interface compliance, and functional completeness
- Support current production system break/fix and enhancement efforts to include requirements review, test formulation, test scenario preparation, test execution, and test summary preparation
- Document and analyze test results, produce status reports, and assist with the defect management process
- Ability to perform requirement analysis and work independently to create test products test plans, test cases, and test reports of good quality
- Assist with technical artifacts including the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM), Use Cases, and User Interface Specifications
- Collect and report testing results to the architecture team and stakeholders on a regular basis
- Monitor defects so that they progress in a timely manner and adhere to the defect tracking process/standards and ensure they are adequately retested when fixed
- Identify potential testing or work product improvement
- Provide informal demonstrations to staff and customers in conjunction with efforts
- Document and track defects and change requests; provide input to and participate in Engineering Change Control processes; capture and report defect metrics
What You Must Have- Must have an active US government secret clearance (no exceptions)
- At least 5-8 years' relevant experience (bachelor's degree may be substituted for 2 years direct experience)
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Gitlab, GitHub Actions, and Atlassian Bamboo is required.
- Must have experience with end to end (e2e) testing frameworks like Playwright, Selinium, and Cypress
- Experience with PowerShell and Bash scripting is required.
- Should be comfortable reading Python, JavaScript, and SQL code
- Knowledge of package tests into suites for smoke/regression test execution
- Experience setting up Linux and Windows test environments, executing test cases, and tracking defects
- Must have working experience with component, application, integration, and performance testing procedures and criteria
- Working experience in defining acceptance criteria and coordinating and executing acceptance testing
- Working experience in requirements traceability
- Working experience with creating and executing test plans and procedures and documenting the expected and actual results
What Would be Nice to Have- Background in Mission Operations and RF systems
- Experience with complex system integration activities
