Full Job Description
Summary

Ashling Partners is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer, Consultant to develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications, workflow automation, integrations, and emerging agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure. Candidates need a strong Power Platform foundation and high learning agility to pick up UiPath quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Power Platform Development

  • App & Flow Building: Develop, configure, test, deploy, and support Power Apps (canvas, model-driven, custom pages, forms, views, dashboards), Power Automate (cloud, desktop, approval, scheduled, event-driven flows), and Dataverse (tables, columns, relationships, business rules, choices, security roles, permissions).
  • Components & Logic: Build reusable components, component libraries, custom connectors, connection references, environment variables, and shared solution assets using Power Fx formulas, workflow expressions, validation, exception handling, retry logic, and operational logging.
  • Integrations, ALM & Operations: Integrate with M365, Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, APIs, databases, and Azure within platform constraints (delegation, throttling, licensing); manage solutions across dev/test/prod environments using ALM, Git, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD tools (Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Power Platform CLI) through release, stabilization, and technical documentation.

Microsoft Copilot and Agentic AI

  • Agent Configuration: Build and support agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, configuring instructions, knowledge sources, prompts, topics, actions, tools, triggers, agent flows, and connections to Power Automate, Dataverse, M365, Teams, SharePoint, and external APIs.
  • Advanced AI Implementation: Contribute to context grounding, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool calling, MCP integrations, multi-agent solutions, custom coded agents, and AI components using Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI services, or APIs.
  • Testing & Safeguards: Test agent behavior for reliability, groundedness, task completion, and safety, applying human review, access controls, auditability, privacy, and responsible-AI safeguards to validate AI outputs and code before production use.

Azure and Software Development

  • Azure Integration: Develop or support Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Azure AI Search, storage, Dataverse plugins, custom APIs, client-side extensions, or Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls.
  • API & Security Standards: Work with REST APIs, JSON, databases, webhooks, authentication, enterprise integration patterns, secure credential handling, input validation, exception handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • DevOps Practices: Use Git and participate in branching, pull requests, peer reviews, automated testing, and release processes.

UiPath and Cross-Platform Delivery

  • RPA & Orchestration: Develop and support UiPath solutions across Studio, Studio Web, Orchestrator, Integration Service, Apps, Action Center, Document Understanding, IXP, Maestro, and Agent Builder using standards for reusable components, exception handling, logging, queues, and assets.
  • Cross-Platform Connectivity: Integrate Microsoft applications, Dataverse, Copilot Studio agents, and Azure services with UiPath workflows, robots, agents, and Maestro processes.
  • Platform Agility: Complete required UiPath training and certifications for client delivery, learning to select the appropriate technology based on client requirements rather than defaulting to one platform.

Client Delivery and Team Contribution

  • Client Engagement: Participate in requirements sessions, design discussions, demonstrations, testing, delivery meetings, code reviews, and client status discussions, asking clarifying questions when requirements, assumptions, or acceptance criteria are incomplete.
  • Communication & Execution: Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and changes promptly and accurately, managing assigned work responsibly, incorporating feedback constructively, and escalating issues appropriately to drive resolution.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate technical documentation, test evidence, configuration records, and deployment instructions while actively sharing knowledge, mentoring, participating in training/certifications, and contributing to remote collaboration.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in computer science/engineering (or equivalent)
  • Power Platform & Dataverse: Minimum of 2 years of working experience developing with Power Apps (canvas, model-driven, custom pages), Power Automate (cloud/desktop flows), and Dataverse
  • Integrations & Logic: Experience building custom connectors and connecting systems via REST APIs, JSON, SQL, M365, and Power Fx formulas.
  • DevOps & Engineering Practices: Proficiency with Git (branching, pull requests), source control, Azure DevOps, and structured software testing/release processes.
  • Programming Languages: Experienced with C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Power Fx.
  • Client Engagement: Strong communication and professionalism for client discussions, requirements gathering, and collaborative problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enterprise & Azure Stack: Experience deploying production Power Platform solutions, PCF controls, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or API Management.
  • Copilot & Agentic AI: Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, prompt engineering, RAG, MCP, or multi-agent architecture.
  • UiPath & RPA: Direct experience with UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator) or Microsoft/UiPath cross-platform integrations. Keen learners of UIPath encouraged.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified (Power Platform Developer, AI Agent Builder, Azure Developer) or UiPath Certified Professional.
