ABOUT THE ROLE:

Keyrus North America (NORAM) is seeking a full-time Fabric Data Architect with deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, and other modern cloud data platforms. This is a senior, client-facing role that pairs deep engineering expertise with end-to-end architecture ownership-you will model and articulate target-state data architectures, then guide delivery teams through their implementation. If you bring deep technical expertise, enjoy teamwork, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment-this is your next move!

At Keyrus, every day is a chance to innovate and make an impact. You will:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and technical requirements, translating them into target-state data architectures and roadmaps that drive value.
  • Own the architecture of end-to-end data initiatives: design and guide the build of scalable data pipelines, lakehouses, and architectures using Fabric, and other modern tools (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Services, etc.).
  • Model full end-to-end medallion lakehouse architectures (bronze, silver, gold), articulate them clearly to client stakeholders, and guide their implementation-ensuring scalability, data quality, governance, and performance.
  • Design and own parameterized ingestion frameworks for batch and near real-time pipelines, including source connectivity across diverse systems (databases, APIs, files, streaming) and on-premises data gateways.
  • Optimize pipeline and query performance-tuning Spark, partitioning, shortcuts, and incremental loads-to meet SLAs cost-effectively as data volumes scale.
  • Design and optimize semantic models-star-schema modeling, DirectLake and Import tradeoffs, relationship and DAX optimization, and aggregations-so analytics layers stay performant and scale with the business.
  • Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, automated deployments across environments.
  • Define, promote, and enforce Fabric architecture standards and best practices across engagements.
  • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams-data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders-mentoring engineers and ensuring delivery aligns to the agreed architecture.
  • Stay up to date with offerings and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data roles, including 2+ years in an architecture or technical lead capacity, with proven success in delivering end-to-end solutions.
  • Deep hands-on Fabric experience, including designing and optimizing end-to-end medallion lakehouses, pipeline performance tuning, ingestion framework design, and semantic model optimization, plus strong expertise in at least 1 of the following: Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory.
  • Strong command of data warehouse, lakehouse, and modern cloud data architecture patterns, including connectivity and integration across hybrid, on-premises, and cloud sources
  • Proven client-facing experience, with the ability to articulate and defend an architecture to senior client stakeholders and guide their teams through implementation, including the ability to push back constructively
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments

  • Group insurance for you and your family members.
  • RRSP and DPSP participation plan.
  • Monthly Wellness Allowance.
  • Reimbursement of telecommunication costs.
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation;
  • Language courses (French & English)
  • Access to continuing education (in-house, conferences, events, courses, certifications, etc.)
