Qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) in mining or equivalent required.
• Minimum 10 years of underground mining experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong skills in planning, leadership, and personnel management.
• Ability to handle complex conflict and project management situations.
• Demonstrated business acumen and customer service excellence.
• Mining modules (FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7) certification required.
• Valid general explosive permit required.
• Bilingual in French and functional English is a must.
• Valid class 5 driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage resources for drilling, blasting, and backfilling operations.
• Monitor work quality to meet company profitability targets.
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 20 personnel, resolving conflicts and guiding complex issues.
• Participate in HR practices, including workforce planning, recruitment, and staff evaluations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders.
• Assist contractors with daily operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the position.
