Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

The Mgr - Technical Production provides a sellable technical resource and leadership for key Division target customers and internal branch technical people. This role assists in new account acquisition and existing target account growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitates daily efforts to obtain, maintain, and grow sales from existing customers through value-added technical support.
• Develops internal training programs; provides on the job coaching for employees designed to increase value and margins with customers.
• Keeps abreast of advances in new technology, equipment and emerging trends in packaging that can grow the business' position in the packaging industry.
• Reviews working practices to ensure measurable improvements in productivity and knowledge transfer supported by S.O.P.'s.
• Attends design, pre-artwork, pre-press, and print runs on behalf of key customers.
• Advises on print process suitability and the development of designs and pre-press for designated printing processes.
• Analyzes, measures and evaluates printed material, advising solutions to customer for print related problems.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
• 8+ years progressive technical resource management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years in a leadership role
• Routine travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
