Manager of Software Engineering - Business Applications (Remote) Salesforce

Short Description

Join our Business Applications team as a Manager of Software Engineering, focusing on the Order Management Technology Stack. In this role, you'll help drive the development and integration of Salesforce and enterprise systems to support scalable, compliant, and efficient lead-to-order processes. You'll manage a team of engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Salesforce ecosystem and related platforms.

Description

We are looking for a hands-on and collaborative Manager of Software Engineering to support the evolution of our Order Management Technology Stack. This role is part of the Business Applications team and is responsible for managing the development and integration of systems that support the end-to-end order lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in enterprise systems, Salesforce, and modern software engineering practices, with a passion for cross-functional collaboration and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management & Business Applications

  • Support the roadmap and delivery of lead-to-order systems with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and scalability.


  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to improve order processing, billing, renewals, and revenue recognition workflows.


  • Help define and track SLAs, policies, and metrics to ensure a seamless customer experience.


Salesforce.com & Business Systems

  • Manage the Salesforce.com ecosystem including Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, and Experience Cloud.


  • Ensure Salesforce architecture and integrations align with business needs and security standards.


  • Support integration efforts with ERP, Order Management, Marketing Automation, and Data Warehouse platforms.


  • Promote user adoption and continuous improvement through training and change management.


Software Engineering & Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of engineers and administrators in building and maintaining business-critical applications.


  • Encourage best practices in agile development, DevOps, and CI/CD.


  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.


  • Evaluate tools and technologies to enhance the order management tech stack.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals.


  • Communicate project updates and technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise applications or software engineering, with 1-2 years in a leadership or team lead role.


  • 5+ years of Salesforce.com experience across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, CPQ; Marketing or Experience Cloud a plus).


  • Experience supporting Salesforce strategy and delivery at scale, ideally in a regulated industry.


  • Strong understanding of lead-to-order processes and CRM/ERP/billing system integrations.
