The Division of Information Technology is the backbone of Augusta University. IT manages all Augusta University systems, networks, data, and applications while safeguarding our digital information. IT strives to provide stable, reliable, and secure IT access for students, faculty, staff, clinicians, patients, researchers, and visitors. As the central IT service provider for Augusta University and many of AU Health's IT services, IT is responsible for Augusta University's most critical IT resources, including the wired and wireless network; email, telephone, and online collaboration services; information security; software licensing; and a host of other systems and applications.

The Manager provides direct leadership for IT operations at regional AU campuses. This includes supervising campus-based IT professionals, coordinating day-to-day technology support, and managing technology integration for new and existing facilities. The role requires collaboration with faculty, staff, and administrators at regional sites to ensure that academic and clinical activities are fully supported by technology services. The Manager also serves as the primary liaison between distributed campuses and enterprise IT leadership, ensuring alignment of service standards, compliance, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

MANAGE THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF IT SUPPORT : Manage the daily operations of IT support at all regional MCG and DCG campuses, including device management, network coordination, and end-user support.

LEAD PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION: Lead planning and implementation of IT services for new facilities and renovations at distributed sites, coordinating with central IT, Facilities, and campus stakeholders.

SUPERVISE, COACH, AND EVALUATE IT STAFF : Supervise, coach, and evaluate IT staff assigned to regional campuses, ensuring professional development and high-quality service delivery.

COLLABORATE WITH INSTITUTIONAL LEADERSHIP : Collaborate with institutional leadership at remote sites to assess needs, resolve issues, and implement solutions that support academic, research, and clinical missions.

DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN POLICIES, STANDARDS, AND PROCEDURES : Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency of IT services across all distributed campuses.

SERVE AS LIAISON BETWEEN REGIONAL CAMPUSES : Serve as liaison between regional campuses and enterprise IT leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and issue escalation.

OTHER DUTIES : Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field with at least five years of professional progressively responsible IT experience, to include supervisory or management experience. Valid state driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, or related enterprise technology credentials, experience supporting IT operations in academic or healthcare environments, proven success in managing technology planning for new buildings or campus expansions. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Knowledge of IT service delivery models in higher education and healthcare environments.

Knowledge of end-user computing, device management, and distributed site support practices.

SKILLS

Strong organizational and project management skills for integrating IT into new facilities.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make operational decisions independently.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday- Friday (work outside of regular business hours may be required)

Position is located in Savannah, GA

Pay Band: B15

Salary: $82,800/annually - $95,200/annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
