Position Summary

We are seeking a Concur Expense & Insights Manager to lead the enterprise Concur Expense program by combining operational excellence, expense governance, and business insight generation. This role ensures an efficient, compliant, and user-friendly expense experience while leveraging expense data to identify trends, improve controls, support strategic decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end integrity of the travel and expense process, partnering with internal stakeholders and third-party support teams, and driving continuous improvements that strengthen compliance, enhance user experience, and improve operational efficiency.

The position partners closely with Procurement, Finance, HR, Compliance, IT, and business leaders to strengthen operations, enhance governance, and deliver actionable business insights-advancing the program from a primarily transactional model to a more structured, controlled, and scalable operation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Concur Expense Program Leadership
  • Lead the day-to-day SAP Concur Expense program, including submission, audit, approval, reimbursement, and policy execution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external support partners; oversee daily operations, including ticket management, escalations, and SLA performance
  • Partner with stakeholders and third-party support teams to deliver an excellent colleague experience
  • Develop SOPs, training materials, and user guidance
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, address bottlenecks and recurring user challenges, and improve operational efficiency
2. Expense Governance & Business Insights
  • Analyze expense data to identify trends, risks, compliance issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct research and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Develop executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Evaluate operational and financial impacts of policy or process changes
  • Support sourcing initiatives with expense-related insights
  • Enforce company Concur Expense policy through consistent, structured processes; review and resolve policy exceptions, noncompliant spend, and escalation cases
  • Partner with leadership to address repeat exceptions or higher-risk behaviors, and recommend long-term solutions to recurring issues

3. Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Strengthen governance through proactive monitoring and preventive controls
  • Support the implementation of controls to reduce misuse and improve policy adherence
  • Evaluate automation and AI opportunities, including AI-driven solutions for expense validation and anomaly detection, to improve efficiency and oversight
  • Support modernization initiatives across the Concur Expense program, including enhanced reporting, monitoring, and new tools
  • Partner with analytics teams to translate insights into actionable process and system improvements
4. Business Partnership
  • Build partnerships across Procurement, Finance, HR, Compliance, IT, and business teams
  • Act as a trusted, solution-oriented partner, providing clear and professional guidance to employees and business partners
  • Improve the overall user experience by reducing friction in submission and resolution processes
  • Translate business needs into process improvements and reporting solutions
  • Support leadership with actionable insights and recommendations

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Concur Expense, Finance, Procurement, or Business Operations
  • Experience supporting SAP Concur or comparable expense platforms, with a proven understanding of travel expense policies, compliance frameworks, and internal controls
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendors or offshore support teams
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to diagnose process or system issues and drive resolution
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP Concur administration experience, including configuring audit rules
  • Experience with expense data analysis and governance
  • Experience developing executive reporting
  • Experience using AI or automation to improve business processes
