Job Description:

Job Purpose

Your mission is to help LP Building Solutions grow and optimize our business by leading our pricing strategy. In your role, you will be responsible for leading and implementing pricing strategy -how products will be priced and promoted, and how to set best price new products. You will be working on market and competitive analysis, developing pricing strategies, and activating programs to motivate our key customers to use our products in their building projects. You will own and manage pricing decisions - adjusting plans as necessary to meet revenue and profit goals.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop pricing strategies and plans to deliver volume and profit commitments for all product lines
  • Create and execute pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profit while delivering volume commitments
  • Lead key external day to day pricing execution with support from the Pricing Analyst
  • Conduct a deep business, market and competitive analysis to inform the optimal pricing and programming structure
  • Develop and define new pricing strategies including pricing elasticity models, national account pricing strategies, and strategically aligned distribution programs
  • Ensure the voice of the customer and the needs of field sales are incorporated into pricing, marketing plans and activation
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing including: management, monitoring, and strategy
  • Provide analytical insights and forward-looking opportunities for marketing including programming strategy and implementation to drive customer behavior
  • Lead development of key IT solutions for Pricing to include leading Dashboarding development & updating key dashboards
  • Lead the Customer pricing experience through Customer Service, Online, and Pricing methodology development
  • Owns process for aging and discontinued products - coordinates with other departments and sets schedule and process
  • Key strategy lead on pricing proposals for new large national accounts and creation of new ways of doing business to grow in this segment
  • Perform all duties in accordance with environmental and safety rules and regulations

  • Strategic pricing management and hands-on execution of implementation
  • Excellent leadership skills with the confidence to lead, manage and engage team members
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a self-starter who can quickly assess business needs with a bias toward action
  • Strong ability to manage external vendors and agency partners
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision making across all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to develop and implement plans while continuously monitoring results and implementing continuous improvement methodologies
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Tableau dashboard usage and creation
  • Experience in PowerBI dashboard usage and creation


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing or related field preferred

  • MBA strongly preferred
