About the Job:

The Ops Support Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic oversight, operational efficiency, and financial performance of the mobile equipment fleet. This role focuses on optimizing the equipment lifecycle-from procurement and utilization to maintenance and disposition-while leveraging data analytics to drive enterprise-wide standards and support plant performance.

What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Fleet & Lifecycle Management:
    • Develop and execute migration plans and disposition strategies to ensure the highest use of assets.
    • Oversee internal machine and component rebuild programs, leveraging best practices to optimize costs and equipment availability.
    • Manage fleet utilization and the CAFE Program to prevent underutilization and optimize capital allocation.
  • Operational Analytics & Technical Oversight:
    • Develop and integrate advanced tracking systems for downtime, oil analysis, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) to inform brand selection and repair vs. replace decisions.
    • Lead the deployment of innovative technologies, such as autonomous mining and specialized equipment standards (e.g., rock breakers, drills and 5000 gallon water trucks).
    • Monitor and support specialized operations, including dragline critical spare strategies and pit development objectives.
  • Financial Integrity & Procurement:
    • Work closely with Strategic Sourcing to enforce procurement contract terms to recover losses and prevent overcharges.
    • Support M&A activities by providing condition-based asset valuations and identifying upside opportunities during site evaluations.
  • Organizational Leadership & Performance:
    • Benchmark maintenance organizational structures and implement enterprise standards to improve KPIs.
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by using analytics to bridge gaps between fleet design and plant performance.


Responsibilities

Skills You'll Need:

Education:
  • BS, preferably with a focus in Engineering or Business Analytics

Key Proficiencies:
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including efficient use of Pivot Tables and other useful features including AI for handling large data sets.
  • Expertise in navigating Tableau, EMS, Jaggaer, Oracle, PME, Canary, Flow, Longview and other Database Systems including proficiency in SQL Server data extraction.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Established field expertise, leadership skills and comfort with influencing both fixed plant and mobile fleet management best practices in our operations.
