The successful
National Account Manager will be responsible for increasing sales within well-established National Key Accounts. This position will also be responsible for creating, developing and driving sales within the following target markets: bakery/produce/meat processing, industrial and technical packaging and safety equipment.
In addition to serving as a business development partner, incumbent will build customer relationships, handle customer complaints and inquiries, manage Accounts Receivables, and effectively communicate with all appropriate internal and external departments/personnel.
The ideal candidate should reside in the Kansas City area.Responsibilities:- Maintain key accounts and continue working to grow new business
- Prospect new business within the processor business segment
- Develop an account strategy to grow business and prepare reports of business transactions
- Ability to coordinate sales efforts in the key account base, with existing outside sales force
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments
- Utilize all appropriate VIP (Dimensions of Professional Selling) techniques and methodologies
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience, education and training; bachelor's in professional Selling, Marketing or Business is a plus
- Sales experience in the food/meat processing and/or kill floor with a focus on plant operating supplies, packaging, personal protection equipment, or related safety items is preferred
- Proven track record in growing business
- Must be competitive, driven and self-motivated
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and outside parties
- Exceptional analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to utilize acceptable mathematical skills
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel required
- Experience with IBM I-Series/AS400 operating system highly desired
- Significant travel is required; be willing to travel nationally to multiple locations as needed
