JOB OVERVIEWThe Manager, Microsoft 365 and Cloud Applications is responsible for the management and support of Microsoft 365 (M365) cloud services and their implementation, as well as the end-user productivity environment and all cloud applications. This position provides technical leadership; and project management from project inception through implementation and operation, including design, delivery, and adoption of M365 tools and applications. This includes but is not limited to the following applications: Exchange Online; OneDrive; Teams; SharePoint Online; Power Platform; Microsoft Copilot; Purview; and EntraID Users and Groups; in addition to other third-party cloud applications. This role works with department leadership, technical staff members, the Program Management Office (PMO), and stakeholders to define requirements, implement projects, and evaluate and manage solutions that achieve business objectives, with a focus on user adoption of cloud tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide technical leadership for deployment and use of M365 tools, in particular Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, Copilot, Purview and other app features like Planner, Forms, OneNote, and EntraID.
- Work with department leadership, end users, and team members to define business requirements, determine priorities, recommend solutions, and develop scopes of work and implementation plans.
- Oversee and manage M365 projects and initiatives, creating project plans, timeframes, budgets, deliverables, communication, execution, and completion throughout a project.
- Provide weekly metrics as required for reporting to leadership.
- Administer, manage, and implement changes to the enterprise M365 environment, including on-premise hybrid integrations (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) and EntraID Connect, SSO, and Connectors to third-party apps).
- Provide L2 and L3 support services to staff members for complex technical and configuration issues related to M365 applications.
- Stay current on M365 changes, updates, and feature releases.
- Coordinate and implement training solutions and keep staff members engaged on M365 changes that impact the organization.
- Lead and support current third-party cloud applications (Qualtrics, ShareGate, Plumsail, and others) and review, test, and implement others as needed or required.
- Identify, research, and keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies, solutions, strategies, and developments with the goal of identifying opportunities for their use by the ACGME.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to ensure security standards and best practices are applied and maintained across the M365 environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYSupervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff members. Supervisory functions include: makes hiring and termination decisions; prioritizes assignments and directs work; develops and oversees employee work schedules and approves time away from work; provides and/or facilitates employee training and development; approves/processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate; completes employee performance appraisals; determines or makes recommendations regarding new-hire salaries and salary changes; and acts as liaison between employees and Management.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum- Five years' management experience with increasing responsibility.
- Eight years' experience with M365 administration, engineering, architecture, and design.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, and other application features (e.g., Planner, Forms, One Note).
- One to two years' experience with Microsoft Copilot and Agentic AI.
- Five years' experience with Microsoft EntraID.
- Experience planning, testing, and implementing cloud business applications.
- Experience creating and establishing end-user training with M365 applications and Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience in creating documentation, testing protocols, and creating user instruction manuals.
Preferred- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- One or more M365 certifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SETS, AND ABILITIES- Familiar with project management methodologies, with the ability to assess best methodology for successful project delivery.
- General knowledge of networking concepts, technologies, structured databases, and application/web servers.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience with IT security best practices, including mitigation and remediation strategies at an enterprise level.
- Basic scripting and development skills using PowerShell.
- Advanced analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, technical peers, vendors, and users.
- Must be able to teach and consult with all levels of ACGME staff members, as well as with vendor support staff members.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS- This position is based in a typical office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
- This is a hybrid position, where the work will be performed in the ACGME office and/or home office. Currently, the ACGME expects all staff members to work in the office two days per week. This schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the ACGME.
