BAE Systems is seeking an Integrated Product Support (IPS) leader with a demonstrated history in the strategic and operational-level planning and execution activities of technical IPS engineering in the Defense sector. The right candidate will be the Logistics Engineering Point of Contact within the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Business area and will be expected to understand warfighter operations and support, and where the need for a Material Solution has been determined, help influence Business Area portfolio leadership to develop and implement concepts that ensure operationally available equipment is delivered at the speed of relevance. They will assist them to identify and prioritize the critical analyses necessary to make informed decisions affecting long term supportability. This highly visible position will also act to resource, lead, and mentor smaller teams of subject matter expert Engineers, Technical Manual Developers, Customer Trainers and/or Asset Tracking personnel in the execution of their individual program assignments as part of a larger digital transformation effort embracing Model-Based Engineering (MBE) and Model Based Product Support (MBPS) in alignment with the direction of the overarching BAE Systems engineering organization.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Leadership and growth of a best-in-class team of Defense Logistics Engineering personnel that consistently delivers exceptional results
- Partnering with business area leaders and functional managers from other discipline areas to ensure business objectives and longer-term strategic roadmaps for the product lines are understood to ensure organizational activities and focus aligns
- Help to create an environment that continues to thrive by fostering engineering and operational excellence within the team through identification of industry best practices, opportunities for their application to current methodologies, and by ensuring their adoption as continuous process improvement initiatives that act as future technical discriminators
- Attract, retain, and nurture a healthy pipeline of future leaders and talent across the organization by identifying, developing, and maintaining key skills and experiences that meet business objectives and cost constraints in support of a multi-year strategy
- Acknowledge individual accomplishment, performance, and drive through targeted administration of resources available within established performance, compensation, and recognition programs in alignment with BAE Systems values.
Because of the need for intermittent in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform a portion of work onsite, this position will be considered hybrid, however the bulk of the work during the first year will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility. Fully remote work will be considered following year one.

Required Skills and Education
- Demonstrated understanding of government and industry related requirements in DoW and GEIA specifications and implementation of successful solutions that met customer needs
- Experience with life cycle sustainment planning and execution requirements on new start development, production, and/or sustainment projects
- Clear grasp of logistics engineering tools, processes, and datasets within related models and documents meeting DoW and/or GEIA standards and how they are applied to influence sustainment decision-making
- History of executing a variety of technical sustainment engineering activities (Integrated Logistics planning; Level of Repair, Maintenance, Product support Analyses; Technical manual and source data development requirements; Curriculum development and delivery; Management of repairs and inventory etc)
- Demonstrated level of comfort briefing and presenting concepts and data to internal technical/program leadership and customer counterparts at all levels that influenced decision-making
- Good working knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, and Product Safety to ensure emphasis is placed on designing for high levels of supportability and availability
- Proven ability to act strategically in scheduling and coordinating ILS related sustainment needs and activities
- Experienced in supporting technical proposal activities including Technical Volume development, evaluation of requirements within Statements of Work or Requests for Proposal, and creation of Product Support Bases of Estimates (BOE)s
- Must be able to attain a Secret clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
- Proven track record of increasing responsibilities in managing organizations of significant complexity, including managing individual projects and tasks through all aspects of the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements thru development, test, production, sustainment and disposal
- Familiarity with Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Model Based Product Support (MBPS) tools and methodologies Experience overseeing the development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals and Training documentation.
- Experience developing and executing Contractor Logistics Support or Performance Based Logistics program requirements
- Experience with cost account management and Earned Value Management
- Experience with Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis
- Familiarity with repair Depot activations and customer planning/coordination
- Experience independently developing or performing some or all of the below tasks related to Integrated Product Support:
- Support Analysis Plans
- Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
- Spares Analysis
- Logistics Product Database development
- S1000D compliant Technical Manuals
- Service specific training curricula
- User expertise in the use of ILS tools and models (COMPASS, SESAME, EAGLE, OPUS, ICAPS, Powerlog-J, SLICWave etc.)
- Ability to attain a Top Secret clearance
