Salary Range: $142,000.00 to $178,000.00

The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range

The Role

The selected candidate with be responsible for leading and managing a group of 6-12 engineers, analysts and technicians. The group is responsible for the development, maintenance, procedures and fleet support of configuration tools and software integration for machinery control alignment and alignment checks.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Nice to Have

Experience with:
  • Machinery control design and maintenance
  • Configuration control of embedded firmware and software
  • Verification and Validation of procedures
  • Familiar with:
