POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and oversight of the environmental and safety functions at brand locations for the purpose of accomplishing corporate goals of providing a safe and environmentally responsible work environment in full compliance with all regulations. This position will be responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, programs and training; and integration of environmental and safety into all functional areas.
CORE FUNCTIONS
• Establish and monitor a comprehensive environmental and safety program, including policies and procedures. Develop departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
• Responsible for the company's compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to all environmental and safety matters.
• Develops short and long-range plans for the innovative, continuous improvement of brand environmental and safety efforts towards improving safety, decreasing injuries and accidents, improving processes, materials, and the work environment.
• Responsible for the oversight and approval or restriction of hazardous materials, process changes, facility changes, and permitting to ensure compliance.
• Develops and maintains a list of all regulated substances manufactured, processed, or otherwise used, generated, or located at the brand and the threshold quantities for regulatory requirements at applicable facilities.
• Investigation and remediation of accidents and violations. Produce and implement necessary Corrective Action Plans.
• Responsible for all required and necessary sampling, testing, and auditing.
• Complete and file all applicable regulatory reports. Maintain all required and necessary records in an organized manner.
• Oversight for all required environmental and safety training.
• Function as a fundamental part of the Operations team to ensure that environmental, health, and safety are integrated into all areas. Interacts with key personnel in each department necessary to achieve and maintain compliance.
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
• Investigate work related incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses and determine a root cause and mitigation plan.
• Coordinate with appropriate EH&S analysts, hygienists, consultants, engineers, and suppliers related to the EH&S needs of the organization.
• Assist in the development of effective EH&S countermeasure to continuously improve safety objectives.
• Ensure legislative compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Advise management on the compliance status, cost, and technical improvements needed to achieve compliance.
• Lead the safety committee and help to coordinate activities, recommendations, and accountability of identified issues.
• Maintain EH&S tracking reports and provide statistical analysis as required. Ensure all environmental reports are submitted accurately and on time.
• Manage All OHSA 300 Log(s).
• Administer Worker's Compensation and applicable programs in line with company and state guidelines.
• Participate and support Human Resources initiatives.
• Maintain required record keeping for applicable EH&S programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment. Correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Develop, implement and manage Hazardous Waste Program per requirements of RCRA, SARA, and DOT for all waste streams; air, Wastewater, and solid/hazardous waste
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
• Knowledge of environmental and safety theories, functions and practices as typically acquired through a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field and/ or relevant work experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental and safety compliance is required.
• Prior experience with Title V Air Permit is preferred.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
