Overview

Works collaboratively with Medical Directors, Practice Administrators, and Practice Managers to anticipate, integrate and coordinate services that optimize inbound and outbound communications for the purposes of helping our patients achieve optimal care. Plans, monitors, and is accountable for the overall management and delivery of the following services for WakeMed Physician Practices (WPP): Scheduling of appointments, provider template accuracy, timely processing and upkeep of assigned work queues, timely processing of patient referrals, development, dissemination and implementation of standard work. Ensures pre-service administrative denials are managed and prevented to maximize financial reimbursement. Serves as a liaison with the community, physician offices, and payers related to patient access issues. Reports directly to the Director of Operations for WPP.
