Pay Range*: $75.25/hr - $117.36/hr The position is a first line management position. The incumbent has
24-hour responsibility for the coordination of care for patients and families of the assigned unit(s). The incumbent shall plan, organize, direct and evaluate people and activities for the assigned unit(s) to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care. The incumbent has fiscal responsibility for resources that are defined during the budget process. The position is accountable for scheduling, coordinating, and maintaining the resources necessary on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
The position's primary focus is with employees, patients, families, physicians and the key contributors from other departments who impact the services of the assigned unit(s). The success of the assigned unit(s) depends significantly on the incumbent's ability to participate well with others and/or collaborate with other managers within the Division of Nursing and the Medical Center.
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications - Current California RN license
- BSN required, MSN preferred; will consider masters in another related health field
- 3 years of active nursing practice in an acute care setting. Education and/or simulation experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills. Prior nursing leadership experience preferred
- Ability to adapt to emergency situations
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- MS Office, AdobePro, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred
