Position Title: Catering Manager- Corporate Dining (NY)

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/Yr.

Job Summary

As the Catering Manager for a premier, high-volume corporate dining account in New York, you will lead all aspects of the catering operation, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and flawless event execution. This role is responsible for overseeing the Catering Department, including training and developing associates, managing event logistics, directing temporary staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

Success in this position requires a strong focus on client satisfaction, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure seamless event set-up, service, breakdown, and post-event operations while fostering strong client relationships and upholding the standards expected by a premier corporate client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all catering events.
  • Involved in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities.
  • Works with the Chef in creating menus.
  • Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
  • Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event.
  • Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships.
  • Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of high-volume catering management experience required
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, and/or related food service operations preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Dedicated to maintaining a culture of excellence
  • Maintains meticulous attention to quality, accuracy, and execution
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • ServSafe Certification.
