Full Job Description
This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration per week. The position can be based in either our San Francisco office or our new New York City office.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Metro Specialist of Suburban Growth to take charge of solving one of Taskrabbit's largest puzzles: how to unlock meaningful, scalable growth in suburban areas where we already operate but see massive opportunity. These areas hold untapped potential for high-margin growth and long-term value due to their client profile.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving difficult growth problems, can blend data with local insight, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to build localized, custom growth strategies to ultimately scale. You'll define the Suburban playbook, combining research, channel testing, and go-to-market experimentation to help us crack the code on supply and demand in these markets. You'll break new ground with strategic initiatives that drive fulfillment and demand, with the goal of scaling these efforts nationally and strengthening our business funnel for the entire US.

This position reports to the US Commercial Director and sits within the Commercial organization.
What You'll Work On (Responsibilities)
  • Transform the suburbs as a growth driver for the business over the next year.
  • Identify high-potential suburban pockets within our largest metros and categories and deploy strategies to increase revenue in these areas.
  • Build suburb-specific GTM strategies that account for unique behaviors and needs.
  • Conduct user and market research to understand suburban barriers to unlock targeted messaging, category focus and engagement tactics.
  • Pilot grassroots awareness channels like Facebook groups, local PR, neighborhood communities to build supply and drive demand.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to merchandise suburb-appropriate categories and adapt SEM strategies to drive spend efficiencies.
  • Work with analytical and operational teams to close the fulfillment gap between the suburbs and core urban areas.
You should have:
  • 6+ years in growth, strategy, or operations roles in a consumer platform or marketplace business.
  • Bias towards strong cross-functional partnerships and relationship building across an organization.
  • Deep curiosity in what is driving the business and the boldness to ask tough questions about why things are the way they are.
  • Experience diagnosing and solving underperformance problems in existing markets with an emphasis on supply and demand imbalances.
  • Strong intuition for local nuance, with the ability to differentiate between a suburb and its city core, and act on those insights.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional strategies that blend data, research, experimentation, and scaling.
  • Skilled at balancing analytical rigor with a scrappy execution mindset across new and traditional channels.
  • A strong bias for action and a drive to make underperforming markets suburbs a key part of the US business.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools, like Claude, to enable work.
  • Experience using Sigma, Looker, or similar BI tools.

Ideal to Have:
  • Experience using SQL to mine new data insights.
  • An understanding of the dynamics underlying a two-sided marketplace
  • Experience working for a global brand
