What are your contributions to the team?
• Aid in loading ModNotice / Hold Kit BOM and maintaining assigned aircraft downtime shortages to a minimal level
• Execute in analyzing and providing status on shortages and availability by project and aircraft for all assigned activities
• Analyze and track engineering drawing packages
• Organize and request planning assignments for ModNotice creation and review by Senior Methods & Material Engineer
• Post ModNotice and maintain the index at the aircraft
• Monitor current 14, 30 and 60 day look ahead schedules to comprehend order of priorities of needed deliverables
• Monitor the established aircraft spares list
• Coordinate with the Engineering Group(s) for changes to the aircraft spares list with Lead assistance
• Monitor the stockroom kits for new parts requirements, kit requirements and for de-marshal after installations are complete
• Support team in interfacing with Projects, Engineering groups and Procurement Buyers to establish achievable goals and schedules
• Track parts that are being fabricated through the manufacturing process
• Support team with researching new requirements as they become available from Engineering
• Monitor aircraft FPS (Flight Preparation Sheet) system daily to be proactive and identify new requirements including RSI's (Restrictions and Special Instructions)
• Negotiate and acquire deliverables by practical methods to sustain aircraft schedule
• Ensure that deliverables are available to support aircraft schedule and highlight significant project issues to management
• Support "walk-up" questions related to parts or methods
• Create purchase requisitions for necessary raw material, parts and outside processing and or equipment rental
How to thrive in this role?
• Typically 3-4 years experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area
• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of CATIA v4 and/or v5
• Basic knowledge of aircraft systems
• Basic knowledge of aircraft parts and location of installations
• Working knowledge of blueprint drawings
• Basic of inventory systems and data transfer
• Leadership skills to effectively address complex, controversial, technical issues to staff, Senior Management, and groups which individual may liaison with
• Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting
• Presentation skills necessary to communicate project status and performance
• Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate work processing, spreadsheet, database, email and web-based applications
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management and contractors
• Ability to adapt to changing work schedules
• Manufacturing background preferred
• Flexibility to travel when project needs arise
