JOB DESCRIPTION

Moore & Van Allen's Charlotte office is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Corporate practice group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of substantive experience in M&A and private equity work, with a strong record of managing complex deal flow. This includes independently supervising junior associates, overseeing and executing due diligence workstreams, and handling the preparation and negotiation of ancillary documents. The role also requires significant involvement in drafting and negotiating primary transaction documentation. A strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand and apply business concepts are essential.

Our group consists of more than 70 private equity attorneys and represents a diverse array of international, national, and regional sponsors, including leveraged buyout funds, growth equity funds, venture capital funds, independent sponsors, family offices, and search funds. We guide sponsor clients through the entire private equity lifecycle-from fund formation and platform acquisitions to add-on investments, portfolio company representation, and exit transactions
