PRODUCT MERCHANDISING MANAGER
GEORG JENSEN & ROYAL COPENHAGEN


OUR ROLE
As Product Merchandising Manager for George Jensen and Royal Copenhagen in the US and Canada, you'll play a key role in shaping the product and commercial strategy for Denmark's two most iconic heritage brands. Working closely with Global Merchandising, Product, Sales, and local market teams, you'll translate global strategies into relevant assortments, pricing, and product opportunities for the North American market. This role combines strong analytical and commercial skills with a genuine understanding of products, customers, and market trends. Success comes from balancing data-driven decision-making with sound product judgement, while confidently navigating the needs of multiple brands, stakeholders, and markets.

This is primarily a remote role open to candidates based in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut. Occasional travel to our New York showroom will be required.

Salary Range of $115,000-$130,000 Annually.

WHAT YOU'LL DOIn this role, you'll turn global merchandising strategies into commercially effective plans for the US and Canada. You'll work across assortment planning, pricing, margin optimization, product launches, and sales support, ensuring that product decisions are relevant to the local market while remaining aligned with global brand direction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create and maintain master US and Canada price lists, conducting wholesale and retail margin analyses to support strategic pricing decisions.
  • Define local assortments, localize pricing for sales tools (catalogues, NPI line lists), and identify opportunities for special collections tailored to local customer needs.
  • Conduct SKU rationalization analyses and manage the communication and execution of resulting assortment updates.
  • Partner with Sales to provide local forecasts for new product launches (NPI) and deliver compelling product presentations for customer and sales training.
  • Act as the "voice of the market," sharing local insights, competitor activity, and trend feedback with Global Merchandising and Product teams to shape the future assortment.
  • Establish and maintain clear processes and guidelines for assortment, pricing, and product requests across the North American market.


WHO YOU AREWe're looking for an experienced merchandising professional who combines strong analytical and commercial skills with a genuine interest in products and design. You enjoy working with data, building assortments, and turning complex information into clear recommendations and actionable plans. Most importantly, you're someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, collaborate across a global organization, and provide clear guidance while balancing local market needs with global brand direction.You'll likely have:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in merchandising, pricing, or category management, ideally within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and advanced Excel capabilities, with proven experience in wholesale pricing and margin analysis.
  • A track record of translating market data, customer trends, and competitor activity into clear commercial recommendations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional global teams without direct authority.
  • The confidence to challenge requests, apply commercial judgement, and act as a clear gatekeeper when needed.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine interest in design, home, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
  • Fluency in English.
