We are looking for a skilled MEP Engineer to work on-site in Cleveland, OH.

Position Overview:

As an MEP Construction Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems within our construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and coordination of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgetary constraints, and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop comprehensive MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility of MEP system designs.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate the procurement and installation of MEP components and equipment.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor the progress of MEP installations, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to construction teams regarding MEP systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and material samples to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct performance tests and commissioning activities for MEP systems to verify functionality, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, progress updates, and documentation related to MEP construction activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP construction management or engineering roles within the construction industry.
  • Experience in the biotech/pharma industry highly desired.
  • Proficient knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software tools is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or industry certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) is a plus.
