Description The Behavioral Health department at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center is seeking Mental Health Therapists to join their team. We're making health happen! These positions will provide clinical mental health services for all ages, one position having a specific focus on children and adolescents. These roles will conduct initial clinical interviews with children, adolescents, adults, and their families, to determine level of functioning and diagnose mental and/or emotional disorders. You will complete diagnostic assessment reports for presenting problems, psychosocial and medication histories, and psychiatric diagnoses, create treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy. There is an opportunity to expand competency to children five years of age and younger as part of our Early Childhood Program. Training will be provided.

Location and hours:These positions are located at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center at 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. New Employee Orientation (NEO) for all new benefit-earning employees is in-person in downtown Minneapolis. In these positions, you will: - Complete diagnostic assessments for all ages: children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
- Provide direct clinical services including clinical interviews, therapies, and crisis/risk assessments.
- Provide general case management; prepare reports, case records, correspond as necessary clinically, and bill for services.
- Participate in weekly multidisciplinary staff case consultations with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health providers.
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary, integrated care team consisting of medical, dental, behavioral health, and other ancillary care providers, providing both internal and external referrals for patients.
Need to have:- Master's degree or higher in social work or closely related field and two or more years of post-master's degree experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
- Qualification as a as defined by the Minnesota Mental Health Act.
- Current licensure as one or more of the following:
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Licensed Psychologist (LP) by the Minnesota Board of Psychology.
Nice to have: - Experience:
- Using the Epic electronic health records system.
- Working with children and adolescents.
- With crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- With being trauma-informed and understanding the impact of trauma on individuals and the importance of creating safe and supportive environments.

- Skill in working with patients of varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds including patients who may require the use of an interpreter.

- Gather and interpret pertinent psychosocial and psychological data in cases characterized by complex problems and the ability to use this data to inform diagnostic considerations and develop effective therapeutic interventions.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other professionals, and the public.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
