The Opportunity

Position Title: Mental Health Counsellor - Child and Youth

Location: Vanderhoof

Employment Type: Full Time 35 Hours/week

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of each client's strengths, challenges, goals, and circumstances through collaborative assessment and engagement with clients, families, caregivers, and service partners.
  • Connect clients and families with community resources, programs, and support networks that reduce barriers, foster resilience, and enhance overall quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide clear reports that support informed decision-making, continuity of care, accountability, and service excellence.


What You Will Bring to The Role

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating mental health and wellness services.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology
  • Registered with BCCSW, ACCT, CPCA. Alternate registrations will be reviewed on an individual basis.
  • Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community-based mental health services.

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $39.75 to $51.47 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity
