About ARE-ON

ARE-ON provides and supports WAN and select networking services for 45 institutions of higher-ed and healthcare delivery in Arkansas, including internet delivery, managed WAN router service, and project consulting. The ARE-ON associate network engineer is directly responsible for supporting technology services that drive the healthcare, research, and education missions of some of the largest public organizations in the state. ARE-ON is a unit of the University of Arkansas System, and all our employees are eligible for the same benefits package as the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus.

Day to Day
The Member Engagement Manager reports to the Executive Director and serves as ARE-ON's primary relationship-builder with information technology departments, research offices, and applied users of ARE-ON's services across the member community, spanning the academy and healthcare delivery. This role identifies where members' institutional strategy and technology goals should inform ARE-ON's investment in services and capabilities, and surfaces shared investment and partnership opportunities across the membership. The Member Engagement Manager facilitates member education on ARE-ON's services and benefits to help institutions realize the full value of their existing investment, leads onboarding for new member institutions, and owns ARE-ON's total engagement strategy, including in-person conferences, meetings, online seminars, and working groups. This role also establishes and maintains ARE-ON's overall member engagement program and associated metrics, including tracking applied engagement work carried out across ARE-ON's technical and support teams in response to member needs. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Working Conditions
-This position requires that the successful candidate reside within the state of Arkansas as defined in University of Arkansas Policies and Procedures #412.3. Remote work within the state of Arkansas is an option, but travel for on-site meetings to meet the job functions is required.
-This position requires regular in-state travel to ARE-ON member campuses for in-person relationship building and initiative development, estimated at 25% to 50% of working time.
-Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
