DESCRIPTIONResponsible for the provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients in accordance with standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. Serves as a preceptor to students and lower-level pharmacists and participates in Medical Center and Departmental committees to promote institution-wide medication-use policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or equivalent clinical experience.
- Registered Pharmacist - issued by the state of California (RPH).
- Five (5) years of clinical pharmacist experience (not including residency).
- Demonstrated ability to lead committees, workgroups, projects, or interdisciplinary teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Strong knowledge and experience in medication use processes, including experience with medication infusion administration.
- Documented record of improvement in and contributions to the respective area of specialty practice through CQI projects, participation in nursing in-services, protocol development, etc.
- Ongoing appointments to appropriate drug policy and other committees of the organization.
- A sustained record of contributing to the total body of knowledge in the specialty area of pharmacy practice annually through (1) research, (2) publications in professional journals, and/or (3) presentations at professional meetings.
- Serving regularly as a reviewer of contributed papers or manuscripts submitted for publication on topics related to the specialty practice.
- Postgraduate residency training highly desired (PGY1 experience or equivalent clinical experience), PGY2 highly preferred.
- Clinical pharmacist experience in the inpatient setting highly desired.
- Medication-use evaluation experience.
- Demonstrated a commitment to teaching (e.g. through preceptorship, education of medical center staff through clinical forums, grand rounds, etc.)
- Proven leadership in advancing the profession of pharmacy through active service in professional organizations at the local, state, and national levels.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $216,296 - $268,788 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $103.59 - $128.73
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
